Maria Kavogianni

Maria Kavogianni is a Greek actress with a distinguished and versatile career in television, film, and theatre. She studied Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business and Pedagogy at the Marasleio Teachers’ Training College, and worked for several years as an educator. At the same time, she pursued acting studies at the Karolos Koun Drama School of the Art Theatre, launching her professional acting career in the mid-1980s.

She is widely acclaimed for her broad acting range, having delivered memorable performances in both comedy and drama. She became particularly well known through iconic comedic roles in popular television series such as Dolce Vita (1995), where she portrayed Aspasia, and Eglimata (1998) as Korina. Her dramatic work includes notable performances such as Eleni in Hara Agnoeitai (2009).

In cinema, she appeared in the feature film Worlds Apart (2015), directed by Christopher Papakaliatis. Her television career includes recurring and leading roles in numerous successful Greek TV series, among them Maestro (2022), Mary Mary Mary (2022), Sto kalo, glykia mou sympethera… (2016), and Min arhizeis ti mourmoura (2013).

Her stage work includes collaborations with prominent Greek theatre directors and performances across a wide range of theatrical genres, highlighting her strong stage presence and artistic versatility.
