“Daily life in ancient Athens” concerns the permanent exhibition “Scenes from Daily Life in Antiquity,” located on the fourth floor of the Museum of Cycladic Art.
Little Leon takes us on a tour around his city. He describes his parents’ wedding, as they described it to him. He then discusses women’s daily activities and talks about his friends, his sister’s friends and their favorite games, school, sports and military training. He also speaks about the symposia and the men’s civic engagement duties.
The illustrations include design representations and objects exhibited on the fourth floor of the Museum, most of which date back to the Classical and the Hellenistic periods (5th – 1st century BC).
