[1]<\/strong> Who can participate?<\/strong>
Kids and teens, ages 4 to 18, can take part in the contest, either individually or through their school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[2] How many drawings can each child submit?<\/strong><\/strong>
Each participant can only submit one (1) drawing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[3]<\/strong> What is the topic of the contest?<\/strong><\/strong>
The contest topic is:
\u201cI Want The Museum To Be\u2026\u201d<\/strong>
Children are invited to imagine, draw and express how they envision the museum of tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[4]<\/strong> Do we have to use a specific template?<\/strong><\/strong>
Yes. All submissions must be created within the official contest template, which you can download from kidscontest.cycladic.gr.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[5]<\/strong> What kind of materials can be used?<\/strong><\/strong>
Children can use any technique and materials they like (pencils, markers, paints, collage, etc.), as long as the work remains two-dimensional and fits within the template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[6]<\/strong> How can I participate individually?<\/strong><\/strong>
Individual entries are mainly submitted digitally<\/strong> via the form at kidscontest.cycladic.gr<\/strong>, by uploading a photo or a scanned file of the drawing. You can also send us your artwork by post or courier<\/strong>, and the Museum will make a digital copy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that the Museum does not return original works.<\/strong> For this reason, participants may send a printed copy <\/strong>of their work if they wish to keep the original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[7]<\/strong> How can schools participate?<\/strong><\/strong>
School entries may either be submitted digitally through the platform<\/strong> or, preferably, sent jointly by post or courier<\/strong> by May 20, 2026<\/strong> (postmark date applies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of group submissions, the Museum of Cycladic Art will digitize all works<\/strong>, making it easier for schools to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that original works will not be returned<\/strong>, so schools can send printed copies<\/strong> and keep the originals in their files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[8]<\/strong> Can I keep my original artwork?<\/strong><\/strong>
Yes, you can keep your original artwork. If you send it by post or courier, the Museum of Cycladic Art will not return the original artwork<\/strong>, so it\u2019s recommended to send a printed copy<\/strong> and keep the original.

Alternatively, you can participate digitally<\/strong> by uploading a photo or a scanned file of your work through the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[9]<\/strong> If I submit my work digitally, do also have to send it by mail?<\/strong><\/strong>
No. If you submit your work digitally<\/strong>, there\u2019s no need to send it by mail. Digital submission is enough to enter the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[10]<\/strong> What is the voice message? Is it mandatory?<\/strong><\/strong>
The voice message is optional<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, for the first time ever, you can send us a short voice message answering the following question:\u201cWhat do you want the Museum to be?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With your voice, and the voices of other kids and teens, we\u2019re creating the biggest sound library of children\u2019s and teens\u2019 ideas<\/strong> for the Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[11]<\/strong> Can I participate in the contest only with the voice message?<\/strong><\/strong>
No. Voice messages are not part of the contest and are not evaluated by the Selection Committee.<\/strong>
Participation in the contest is only valid through the submission of an artwork. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

[12]<\/strong> What language can I use for my voice message?<\/strong><\/strong>
You can send your voice message in any language you like<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[13]<\/strong> When is the submission deadline?<\/strong><\/strong>
The submission deadline for the artwork is on May 20, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[14]<\/strong> How and when will the artwork be displayed?<\/strong><\/strong>
The children\u2019s works will be presented:
–<\/strong> in a digital exhibition<\/strong> (before schools close),
–<\/strong> and as part of the 4th<\/sup> Cycladic Kids Festival at the Athens Arts Center <\/strong>(September 26 & 27, 2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[15]<\/strong> Who selects the winners?<\/strong><\/strong>
The artworks are evaluated by:
– a<\/strong> Selection Committee<\/strong> comprising distinguished artists and cultural experts,
– and a Youth Committee<\/strong>, a three-member teen panel made up of past contest winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
